1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and AppScreenTool ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") concerning your access to and use of our website and services. By accessing or using the service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with these Terms, you must discontinue use immediately.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the service constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Account Registration

To use our service, you must create an account. You can register using:

  • Email and password: You must provide a valid email address and a password meeting our security requirements (minimum 8 characters, including uppercase, lowercase, and a digit).
  • Social login: Sign in with Google or GitHub. By doing so, you authorize us to access your name, email address, and profile picture from the provider.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate and current information
  • Not share your account with others
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
  • Not create accounts using automated means

3. User Representations

By using the service, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You are at least 13 years of age (or have parental consent if under 18)
  2. You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms
  3. You will not use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  4. You will not access the service through automated or non-human means (bots, scripts, scrapers)
  5. Your use will not violate any applicable law or regulation

4. Email Verification

Users who register with email and password must verify their email address. Until verification is complete, certain features (including project downloads) will be restricted. Users who sign in with Google or GitHub are automatically verified through their provider.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

Free Tier

The free tier provides limited access to the service with the following restrictions:

  • Limited number of projects
  • Limited file uploads per project
  • Reduced maximum file size
  • Watermarks on downloads
  • Limited device frame access

Paid Plans

Paid plans (Standard, Pro, Enterprise) offer expanded limits and additional features. Plans are available in monthly, yearly, and lifetime billing cycles.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the beginning of each billing cycle.
  • You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Upgrades are prorated for the remaining billing period. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle.
  • Cancellation stops future renewals. You retain access until the end of the current billing period.

Refunds

The free tier allows you to fully evaluate the product before purchasing. All purchases are considered final once payment has been processed. Refunds may be granted at our sole discretion.

6. Free Tier Project Retention

Projects belonging to free-tier users that have not been updated within 30 days may be automatically deleted to manage storage resources. This includes all project data and uploaded files. To prevent deletion, simply open and save your project, or upgrade to a paid plan.

Paid plan users are exempt from automatic project deletion regardless of project activity.

7. Intellectual Property

Our Content

The service, including its design, source code, device frame images, templates, icons, and documentation, is owned by AppScreenTool and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or reverse-engineer any part of the service.

Your Content

You retain full ownership of all content you upload or create using the service, including your screenshots, images, project designs, and exported files. By uploading content to the service, you grant us a limited license to host, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you. This license ends when you delete your content or account.

Templates

Templates provided by AppScreenTool are licensed for use within the service. You may use templates to create your own designs and export them for commercial use (such as app store listings). You may not redistribute templates themselves as standalone assets.

8. User-Generated Content

By uploading content to the service, you represent and warrant that:

  1. You own or have the necessary rights and licenses to use the content
  2. Your content does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
  3. Your content does not contain illegal, harmful, or offensive material
  4. Your content does not violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, without prior notice.

9. AI-Powered Features

Our service includes AI-powered features such as:

  • AI Translation: Automatically translates text overlays to multiple languages
  • AI Project Generation: Creates screenshot projects from text descriptions

When using AI features, your text content is sent to third-party AI providers for processing. AI-generated content is provided "as-is" and may require review and editing. You are responsible for verifying the accuracy and appropriateness of AI-generated content before publishing.

11. Analytics & Third-Party Services

By using the service, you acknowledge and agree that we use the following third-party services:

  • Google Analytics: We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data (page views, session duration, device information, approximate location) to understand usage patterns and improve the service.
  • Google Tag Manager: We use Google Tag Manager to manage and deploy analytics scripts on our website.
  • Cloudflare: Our website is served through Cloudflare for content delivery, performance optimization, and security (DDoS protection, bot detection). Cloudflare may process technical data including IP addresses.

These services may set cookies on your device. For details on what data is collected and how it is used, please refer to our Privacy Policy. You may opt out of analytics tracking by using browser settings or extensions such as the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

You agree not to:

  1. Use the service for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
  2. Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the service
  3. Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
  4. Upload malware, viruses, or other malicious code
  5. Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
  6. Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the service
  7. Impersonate another person or entity
  8. Use the service to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates third-party rights
  9. Resell or redistribute the service without authorization

12. Account Termination & Deletion

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, without notice, for violations of these Terms or for any other reason at our sole discretion. Upon termination:

  • Your access to the service will be immediately revoked
  • Your data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy
  • You will not be entitled to a refund of any prepaid subscription fees

Voluntary Account Deletion

You may delete your account at any time from the Settings > Security page. When you initiate account deletion:

  • A 7-day grace period begins, during which you can cancel the deletion by logging back in.
  • After the grace period, all your data — including your account, projects, uploaded images, transaction history, and any associated content — is permanently and irreversibly deleted from our systems.
  • This action cannot be undone once the grace period has expired.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

14. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APPSCREENTOOL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT, OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

15. Modifications and Interruptions

We reserve the right to change, modify, or discontinue the service (or any part thereof) at any time without notice. We are not liable for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the service.

16. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which the Company operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

17. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith informal negotiation. If informal negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the applicable arbitration rules, unless otherwise required by applicable law.

18. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
